Welcome to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School! The Trust, academy council, staff and all of our existing families and I are delighted to welcome all our pupils and parents to our school. Here at St Joseph's, we are passionate about teaching and learning, developing the faith of our children and are committed in continuing to move our school forward. The staff are a dedicated, hardworking and great team who share our ambitions for the children. The children tell us that they are happy and enjoy being here and this can be seen in the trusting relationships that are built and the progress they make.
Our Mission is to provide a high quality Catholic education to our children where we are ’Learning with Jesus, to be the best we can be’. We are proud of our school’s reputation as not only a high achieving school with high expectations, but one which has a very strong Catholic ethos where we ‘Love, Care and Share’. We have a virtue led curriculum where we seek to build character and instill in the children the key virtues of faith, hope, love, justice, solidarity, temperance and courage, allowing our children to flourish.
We celebrate our children's success through our reward system. We are always happy when others do well. If there are any concerns, we discuss these with parents and seek to work in partnership with them.
We have excellent pastoral care at St Joseph's. We seek to support the whole child and try to be a mentally healthy school. We have a pastoral support worker from Catholic Care who visits school to support those children who need a little extra and the staff provide lots of opportunities for children to discuss any worries they may have. We truly nurture each child, allowing them to flourish and reach their potential.
We thank all of our parents for sharing their children with us as we make this journey together and we hope that the children in our care build long lasting friendships, develop curiosity and a love of learning and create happy memories of their time here.
